Psalm 119:68 68 You are good, and what you do is good; teach me your decrees. REVIEW OF THE “OMNI” Trilogy: God is omniscient - He has perfect knowledge of all things past, present and future - both actual and possibilities. God is omnipresent - He is a here and there God; He is everywhere all the time at the same time. God is omnipotent – He has unparalleled, unstoppable and unlimited power. CROSS EYES’ PERSPECTIVE #1 – God’s goodness alone is all that it can and should be. Luke 18:18-19, 18 A certain ruler asked him, “Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” 19 “Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good—except God alone. CROSS EYES’ PERSPECTIVE #2 – Good should be define by its source not your experience. James 1:17 - Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. Gen. 3:5 “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” CROSS EYES’ PERSPECTIVE #3 To become good, we must learn from the only One who is always good. BOTTOM LINE: God is good, and everything He does is good. CROSS-EYES’ CHALLENGE: This week, ask yourself if you are practicing something that is not good by God’s definition. If you are unsure, apply this simple test. Can you say – “Lord thank you for allowing me to have this life-style?” If you cannot with a clear conscience thank Him for it, then ask Him to teach you His decrees.
